National Bureau of Statistics data released on the 14th showed that China's domestic natural gas production increased by 3% over the same period of last year in November, setting the highest monthly level since March.
The surge in demand in the heating season in winter due to the government's anti-haze initiative has prompted natural gas producers to increase their horsepower to increase supply. Data shows that a total of 12.6 billion cubic meters of natural gas production in November, higher than 12.4 billion cubic meters in October. From January to November 2017, natural gas production reached 133.8 billion cubic meters. This year it is expected to refresh the 2016 record high of 136.8 billion cubic meters.
