Eni's latest report, World Oil, Natural Gas and Renewable Energy Review, shows that global oil demand increased by 1.7% in 2017, global oil production increased by 0.3%, while the United States and Canada are the two countries with the largest increase in oil production among non-OPEC oil producing countries.
In the company statement issued together with the report, Eni said that "OPEC oil production declined last year after the implementation of the production reduction policy and the Venezuelan crisis." The report also pointed out that global oil reserves fell by 0.2% in 2017, while OPEC remained the largest reserve owner last year, accounting for 72% of global oil reserves.
The World Oil, Natural Gas and Renewable Energy Review is Eni’s annual statistical report on oil, natural gas and renewable energy. It is divided into two volumes. The first volume is about oil and the second is about natural gas and renewable energy.
