According to Dow Jones News on June 21, ExxonMobil and Hess announced that they had obtained the eighth oil and gas discovery on the coast of Guyana in South America. The two companies previously claimed that the oil and gas field has more than 3 billion barrels of oil equivalent. ExxonMobil and Hess are currently in the first stage of the development of the Liza oil and gas field. It is expected that from the beginning of 2020, the maximum daily output of crude oil in the first stage can reach 120,000 barrels. The daily output of the second stage may reach a maximum of 220,000 barrels, and three stages of development work will be started after that.
