Bloomberg reported recently that the oil giant, which has been regarded as polluting giant, has achieved remarkable results in reducing emissions in recent five years.
BNEF data show that from 2010 to 2015, Sixty percent of the world's 100 major oil companies have reduced their greenhouse gas emissions. Overall dropped by 12%. the top five giants Exxon Mobil, Shell, Chevron, BP and Total are slightly above the average, reduced by 13% in five years. Exxon Mobil is the largest greenhouse gas emitter among these companies. Emissions fell by 14% in five years. the largest decline is BP, with a total reduction of 25.5% in five years.
