India Imported 1 Million Barrels Of Crude Oil From The United States First Time

Nigeria's "Daily News" reported on August 8 that India's state-owned refinery, Bharat Petroleum Co., Ltd., purchased 100 million barrels of US crude oil varieties West Texas Intermediate Oil (WTI) Midland crude oil and it will be delivery in October, this is the first time India import crude oil from the United States. In addition, there is another Indian state oil refinery plan to import about 200 million barrels of crude oil from the United States in the next few months. The report suggests that the deal could pose a threat to Nigeria's position as India's largest exporter of crude oil.
