Iraq And BP Signed A Contract Of The Kirkuk Oilfield Development

According to news of Reuters reported in Iraq’s Basra on May 7th, Iraq’s Oil Minister Al-Luaibi said in Basra on the 7th that Iraq’s state-owned Northern Oil Company signed an agreement with BP on Monday to increase oil production in the Kirkuk oilfield in northern Iraq by three times.

Al-Luaibi said that the agreement was signed in Basra, the southern city of Iraq at a press conference after the signing of the agreement.

According to the agreement, BP will increase the daily production capacity of six oil fields located in the Kirkuk region to over one million barrels, which is three times of the current capacity in the region.
