According to the Russian Chinese network news International Inter fax news agency reported on June 26, Kazakhstan Energy Minister Pozumbayev told the media that the current daily production of Kashagan field has reached 32-33 million barrels, and it will increase at the end of the year.
Pozumbayev pointed out that the increase in oil production in the Kashagan field will not affect Kazakhstan’s commitment to crude oil production commitments to OPEC, and the increased production will be partially offset by other oilfield production reductions. The plan to increase the production of Kashagan field to 370,000 barrels per day remains unchanged. In Pozumbayev said publicly in May that it is expected that the Kashagan Field will achieve 370,000 barrels per day of oil production in 2019.
