Pakistan Will Negotiate With Iran For Natural Gas Transportation

Pakistan recently will discuss with Iran about the related issues of natural gas procurement agreement (GSPA) and Iranian-Pakistan (IP) gas pipeline project, Pakistan News reported on March 14.

It reported that the Pakistani delegation plans to visit Iran to discuss various issues including the revision of the GSPA. The Pakistani government is actively working on the IP gas pipeline project in earlier stage and is ready to complete the project within 30 months after the Iranian sanctions. According to an earlier plan by the two sides, the IP gas pipeline will be extended from Iran's South Pars gas field to Pakistani Nawabshah, with a total length of about 1931 kilometers, of which 1150 kilometers are in Iran and 781 kilometers in Pakistan.
