Qatar Oil Company CEO Saad Karabi announced in Doha, Qatar, that Qatar will increase its annual production of LNG to 110 million tons, an increase of 43%.
Kaabi said at a press conference held on the 26th that Qatar’s new projects in the northern gas field aimed at increasing LNG production are progressing well, and equipment upgrades and technological upgrades have been completed smoothly enough to ensure a substantial increase in production. He predicted that Qatar Petroleum will start to increase production of liquefied natural gas by the end of 2023, and will achieve the goal of increasing production of liquefied natural gas to 110 million tons in the first quarter of 2025.
Qatar announced in July last year that it will significantly increase the production of LNG, from 77 million tons per year to 100 million tons in 2024, an increase of nearly 30%.
Qatar is rich in oil and gas resources, and its natural gas reserves ranks third in the world. LNG exports have ranked first in the world for many years.
